Melbourne in March

There are many things happening in Melbourne in March. The Brunswick Music Festival runs from the 11th until the 21st of March and is one of Victoria’s best Music Festivals. The festival is held in the City of Moreland which is an incredibly diverse community with more than 35% of its residence not born in Australia. The Brunswick Music Festival is Australia’s only Inner City Festival of Folk Roots and World Music.

The Melbourne Food & Wine Festival takes place in Melbourne from the 12th until the 23rd of March. The Food & Wine Festival showcases some of Melbourne, and the World’s best chefs. Melbourne restaurants, bars, wineries and cafes are all on show during this time with food and drinks available to suit all budgets. There is a wide variety of food from different countries but especially from South East Asia.

The Melbourne Fashion Festival runs from Sunday the 14th of March until Sunday the 21st of March. Melbourne has always been known for being the Fashion Capital of Australia and this festival brings together the best of the Fashion Industry to Melbourne. There will be free sidewalk presentations and fashion shows in the city and many more events taking place over the week. Reception Renovation

We have just begun renovations in our Reception area at Melbourne’s Princes Park Motor Inn. For the next 2 month, our Temporary Reception will be across the driveway in the House. Please be aware of this when you are on our property and follow the signs to our Temporary Reception. All of our regular services will still be available during this time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused but believe our guests will love the changes.

A Day Out with Thomas the Tank Engine

See Thomas the Tank Engine and The Fat Controller perform for the entire family at The Puffing Billy Emerald Station. You can also ride on the steam train behind Puffing Billy. There are also other things for the kids to do which include an animal nursery, face painting, photo opportunities, Green Bulgy Bus rides and a jumping castle. There are also food and drinks available as well as Thomas the Tank Engine merchandise.
